St. Anne's, Shandon, Cork, Éire

Here is a photo taken from beside St. Patrick's Bridge that shows the view across the north channel of the River Lee. Beyond the river and among the various buildings lining the other bank is the famous bell tower of St. Anne's Church in Shandon. It is such an obvious landmark that it is hard to miss and has some renown for having each of its four clocks telling wrong, and different, times. That earns it the soubriquet of “the four faced liar” and it has not stopped international celebrities apparently ringing its bells for the honour that apparently bestows.
