Ysgyryd Fawr from Abergavenny Castle, Monmouthshire, Wales

Moving from views of Abergavenny Castle to views from it, this is one over Abergavenny from near the castle gates. In the background is Ysgyryd Fawr with the obvious cleft being due to a landslip. More fanciful suggestions include its being a resting place for the biblical Noah's Ark. As far as I can ascertain, the church you see above is St. Mary's Priory and it retains one of the finest collections of medieval effigies and monuments in any church in the U.K.
