When the sun lights up scenes like this after staying imprisoned by cloud for so long as was the case when I savoured this vista, it is easy not to want to move on though that would be best in the interests of time. That was how I felt when the sun did it magic on this view from Great Rigg towards the well known and frequented heights of Dollywaggon Pike and Helvellyn. In front of these, a well hidden Grisedale Tarn can be imagined into being with the lesser frequented summit of Seat Sandal to its left. And what are those more distant tops in the distance? On the basis of shape and location, either Skiddaw or Blencathra (I cannot abide the name Saddleback though some use it) would fit the bill but I reserve the right to change my mind as my knowledge of the Lake District increases.
