The evening before I rose in the morning to savour this scene before any potential deterioration in the weather that was forecasted, I was delighted by the way the cascading waters of Sourmilk Gill gently filled an otherwise silent valley. You even might be able to pick its out line between the two fell tops above. It rises from Bleaberry Tarn that hides in the corrie between High Stile at the left and Red Crag to its right. The previous day had me playing with a sort of ridge walk but I abandoned that on second thoughts and now am pondering more direct routes to their tops than Scarth Gap thought those might mean steeper ascents. Further considerations are sure to follow before I end up making those designs into realities.
