Pen-y-Ghent gains two photos in this album so it's no bad idea to share a view of another of Yorkshire's Three Peaks. After all, lurking behind Simon Fell and Park Fell is Ingleborough. The wide empty upper reaches of Ribblesdale have been the best of the Pennine Way so far with plenty of solitude for times when quieter moments are needed. The ground isn't so unsound underfoot either where green lane enthusiasts are held at bay. With a degree of preparation, a trot along here can be reasonably carefree.
