Havnelageret, Langkaigata,<br />Oslo, Norway

Though it caught my eye while pottering about Oslo's Bjørvika on my first visit to the city, this building has a less striking place in history than others. It dates from 1921 when it then was the largest concrete building in Europe. A major Norwegian daily newspaper is based here as are certain government agencies such as Norwegian Defence Estates and an archive of the Norwegian Intelligence Service. None of these were known to me at the time and it took another visit before I got to the more historic Akerhus slott though it was not as far away as I had supposed on that earlier August evening in 2016.
