After using the wrong camera film the previous time around, it took two attempts with digital capture before I could improve on things. Even so, the hazy day from which this scene comes limited satisfaction slightly. That was when I hiked from Great Langdale to Rydal via Lingmoor Fell and Loughrigg. Thankfully, the quality of the light grew ever more pleasing as the day progressed, so I gained more results like what you see above to make the effort worthwhile.

The first time that I found myself going along Loughrigg Terrace was not my plan for the day at all. A cancelled train to Wales forced me to consider alternatives so a trot over Loughrigg Fell that took in Grasmere, Rydal Water and other sights was ample recompense before I returned to Ambleside on foot to commence the journey home.
