Buxton's Pavilion is home to quite a few water-features and the lake nearest to Burlington Road is what you see in this photo from a Sunday in May 2014. For a while, I was wondering if it had a name like the Serpentine for another feature in the same park. The best one that I have found is Upper Lake and its island has no special name at all. Broad Walk with all its Victorian housing is hidden behind trees at the right of the photo, and they do a good job of trying to obscure the fact that you are in a town too.
