Ulriken, Bergen, Hordaland, Norway

After being showered with heavy rain on my arrival, things dried up for the evening, so I pottered about Bergen to get a little more of my bearings. Part of that was an up and down trip on the Fløibanen funicular railway. While up around Fløyen, one of the sights that caught my eye was that of Ulriken. Though I did not get that far because of time limitations, there is a cable car operating there to get folk up and down its slopes. A special daytime bus service shuttles between the centre of Bergen and the foot of Ulriken too, so you can make an all encompassing trip from this. Light was fading when I first got to photographing the summit, and there is a faint hint of red in the photo because of this. If I had more time, there may have been a longer walk that would have allowed a closer look.
