San Francisco as seen from Angel Island, California, U.S.A.

This is one of the more successful photos from my time on Angel Island. Heat haze did little to favour the others, and I was useful a camera with a smaller sensor too. Other photos in this album were made with my SLR and that appears to have coped better with the stronger light of more southern latitudes than those to which I am accustomed.

Carl the Fog is there to be seen with the high rise silhouette of San Francisco peering above the billowing mass and the East Bay Bridge making its presence known as well. When I made this image, I was around Mount Livermore and starting on my back to Ayala Cove. My time on Angel Island was coming to a close, and it has been a satisfying excursion. This made a good start to other forays that I was to undertake in the Bay Area.
