Caha Mountains, Adrigole, Co. Cork, Éire

This is a view of the Caha Mountains, part of the backbone of the Beara Peninsula, from the coast between Adrigole and Glengarriff. Even though all appearances suggest the contrary, a rocky shoreline was not at all far from where I was standing when I took this. The mountains themselves are not particularly high, topping out at under 600 metres (or 2000 feet) above sea level but they stretch from Glengarriff to Adrigole where a range called the Slieve Miskish start and continue almost to the tip of the peninsula. Figuring out where one range stops and the other starts, though, is easier said than done since they run into one another.
