My wanderings are urban as well as rural, and several have taken me overseas around Europe and to North America. All have needed at least some planning: knowing what to see and where to stay remain ever present needs. That and remaining ever open to new possibilities have contributed to what you find here. Everything builds up over time, and I hope that the horizons continue expanding to mean that I can continue to share new things with you here.
In July 2019, I spent some time around Vancouver in British Columbia. The full account has yet to appear on the website as of the time of writing but I also got to exploring part of Vancouver Island and around Squamish as well. The weather rather spoiled me with all the warm sunshine and no wildlife encounters intruded on my perambulations either, even if I did carry bear spray on incursions into the countryside around North Vancouver and Squamish. My appetite was whetted for further North Atlantic trips such as spending some time around Toronto and Ontario. Since these words are being written during the 2020 pandemic, these ambitions are on hold for obvious reasons but here is a list of websites that I collected during my guidebook reading since 2018 for now. In time, they may get fashioned into a narrative that is more in keeping with what I planned for this part of the website but they may have a use for dreaming or planning during ongoing travel restrictions.
