Kleiner Solstein & Hohe Warte, Innsbruck, Tirol, Austria

Here is another photo from the first morning of my trip to Austria, coming as it did on the second day because of the decision to fly to Munich before continuing by train from there to Innsbruck. The mountain tops of the Nordkette were bathed in cloud and, though it cleared somewhat later on in the day, it was to revisit the tops too. Nevertheless, it adds a sort of simplicity to this photo by screening out other details and the accompaniment also adds interest to what otherwise might have been a detail shot of an otherwise bare snow-streaking stony mountain top. There is a sort of conflict in that statement yet anything that stops you including too much has to make for better results.
