It's being Ireland's capital city means that you hardly can miss out on visiting the place if you live in the country. Ironically, my moving away from Ireland increased the number of encounters that I have had with Dublin since I often fly in and out of its airport. Mostly, I have been passing through the place, but there have been day trips there too.

Some of those have been family events, so opportunities for photographic activities were restrained by that as much as my youth at the time. The latter comment also applies to a school trip that took us to Kilmainham Gaol and the city's Zoo among other places. More recently, flying visits have taken in Howth as well as a longer stroll around various city landmarks.

Despite the brevity of any visits, numerous photos have resulted over the years and this selection is drawn from those. There was a time when every image would have been scanned from a photographic print, but the transition to digital photography means that everything that you find here has been digitally captured. While the collection may seem substantive, there are more scenes to capture, so the possibility of future visits cannot be excluded.
