Looking towards Tuxer Alpen, Innsbruck, Tirol, Austria

It took me a while to get a heading for this photo and the fact that I used the telephoto end of my zoom lens added to the challenge. In fact, the craggy mountain tops that see here are not that far from the northern reaches of Zillertal and can be seen in a rotating webcam showing Innsbruck and what lies around the city. That webcam came in very useful when assessing whether the gloomy weather predictions in the days approaching my weekend visit had any basis in reality.

The collection of tops themselves are not that far from the better known Patscherkofel, another place for me to explore on any return. That would be give my another vantage point for viewing such summits as Viggarspitze and Glunergezer together with others among their midst. The more that I look at my photos from the 2016 Spring Holiday weekend trip, the more I realise that there is so much to see around Innsbruck and that causes me to wonder why I set my sights on an additional trip to Zillertal at all. Maybe ignorance undersold the outing to me.
