River Inn & Nordkette, Innsbruck, Tirol, Austria

Here is another photo from my morning saunter along the banks of the River Inn that gives Innsbruck (bridge over the Inn, in German) its name. The river was both grey-brown and gloopy in appearance throughout my stay in the area, which happened during one of the months of its peak flow. As it happens, the Inn rises near St. Moritz in Switzerland and flows through both Austria and Bavaria until it flows into the Danube, making one of the few rivers to flow from the Swiss Alps into the Black Sea. Also, no evidence of its rising at the foot of glacier came to light when I peered at a map though it surely must carry much silt as it goes its way.
