Before I headed up around the Nordkette, I took the chance to potter about Innsbruck in the morning sunshine. Temperatures were cooler than the day before when they were oppressive during the afternoon. It had taken me until the late afternoon to find the River Inn and clouds had filled the sky by then. Thus, another visit followed and that was when this photo was made. The tower of Pfarramt Saint Nikolaus looms above everything else apart from the mountains behind it. Like so many of the buildings you find in Innsbruck, those that surround the spired church are painted in pretty and bright colours too. It is as if a contrast to the green and grey colours of the countryside is being sought.
