Dollywaggon Pike, Glenridding, Cumbria, England

It was on the way down from St. Sunday Crag to Grisedale when I spied this sight and then captured it with my camera though I'd rather than that the sky had more colour in it. The path that took me down from Deepdale Hause was not a public right of way yet had engineered zigzags and the steep gradients needed such a thing until a more level path was reached. In fact, the uphill course of part of this left me wondering if I had taken a later right turn though others were going the same way as me, so I wasn't alone in my madness. It was views like what you see above that allowed me to stall and rest under pressure limbs while recalling that the path I was seeing beneath the lofty crags was one that I too used to get from Grisedale Tarn to Patterdale once or twice. That has its steeper moments too, so legs can tire even on that one.
