Great Gable as seen from Haystacks, Buttermere, Cumbria, England

This is a close up view of what lies at the head of Ennerdale, and I was curious as to what the bare rocky head in the centre actually was, given that Scafell Pike was not that far from where I was standing at the time. Later, I uncovered that I was peering towards Great Gable with Green Gable to its left. To the right, that would appear to be Kirk Fell and tantalising thoughts of those background shadowy hills being one of Sca Fell or Scafell Pike come to mind too. An alternative vantage point to the top of Haystacks, from where this scene was sighted, could have its uses for that though.
