Kirkstone Pass, Ambleside, Cumbria, England

Place Fell may be located not far from Ullswater, but it can be seen from all sorts of places and the list includes Kirkstone Pass, not so far from Ambleside. When this view presented itself to me, I was making my way up from the aforementioned pass to the top of Caudale Moor though my understanding at the time was that Stony Cove Pike, actually only the highest point of Caudale Moor, was my objective. As usual, any sights that came my way were savoured and the same applied to this one with Place Fell seen through the peephole made by the lower slopes of Red Screes and Raven's Edge. It was set to be one of many.
