If you consider the Yorkshire Dales to be a twee tourist trap, take a look at this. Also, if you were to feel the strength of the wind that I encountered while up here, I think that you might accord it some respect. I did very well not to get blown over at times; walking poles helped with my endeavours. These hills are not that high with Snaizeholme Fell topping out at 545 metres above sea level, but those strong winds can still rise.
