When you use a name like the Pavilion Gardens, there needs to be a pavilion somewhere and there is a photo of the Octagon concert hall elsewhere in the album. Here is a view of the part of the Pavilion nearest to Buxton's town centre and the glass enclosure extends all the way towards the aforementioned Octagon. Once, it was an indoor promenade for those wanting to shelter from less clement weather but now hosts the tourist information centre as well as cafés and an art shop. Recent restorations using Heritage Lottery funding have helped to keep it in superb condition as you can see above.
