Cupid and Psyche, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England

This is a closer view of Cupid and Psyche than in the previous photo. The glass pavilion was used originally for the display of Harrogate's entry to the 1990 Gateshead Garden Festival. The statue itself was carved by Giovanni Benzoni for the Spa Rooms Gardens around 1870. However, these gardens were removed in 1958 and the statue placed in storage and forgotten until a chance discovery 30 years later!
