Cullernose Point, Craster, Northumberland, England

Here's some of the coastline that you'll find in Northumberland, and it is but a short hop south of the alluring village of Craster. It's a varied mix with wilder stretches like this mixed with beaches and harbours too. This spot was met on two walks north from Alnmouth that were over six years apart! On the first time, it was on a largely January day that I engaged in an out and back from Alnmouth train station to Craster. This photo comes from second and sunnier encounter during February 2012. Then, I got as far as Embleton before starting my return journey by bus. Continuing north of there is an alluring prospect with Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne to be found along the way.
