When I first went selecting a photo of the Inner Farne islands for this album, I tried one with part of Harkness Rocks in the foreground until I decided that it did not work well and settled on the one here instead. The foreground may be a beach, but the subject is much closer, so close in fact that the idea of walking there through the water is one that comes to mind. However, that probably is as foolish as it is impossible, yet it shows does what can come into a mind when an illusion is explored. That October day, I stayed on dry land as I hiked inland from a pleasing stretch of North Sea coastline. That was what I needed than any aquatic adventuring.
