This image was captured part way along a walk between Wooler and Kirk Yetholm. Though deceptively civilised, this part of the world was quiet and placid as I passed though it of the first Friday evening in July. The low level roadways that ran in various directions towards hills were tempting, and I quite fancy another visit to these parts. The low level of public transport does constrain options a little and the closure of the youth hostel in Kirk Yetholm adds to them. However, there is a youth hostel in Wooler that could have its uses. It's an area that deserves a few days around there and a weekday trip would be the more feasible from a logistical point of view.
