Hebden, North Yorkshire, England

Even in a place as frequented as the Yorkshire Dales, you'll find plenty of small quiet places like Hebden. It may be served well by buses from Skipton that came around by Grassington but that does nothing to take from the peace and quiet. Nestling along the road between the latter conurbation and Hebden Bridge, you'll find this pretty collection of houses that is so typical of Yorkshire Dales country but without the throngs, perfect for a few days away from urban madness. I was here over a weekend when I went exploring around Grimwith Reservoir of an evening before I spent the next day walking all the way to Malham. It was one that was well spent.
