The Dales Way starts out in Ilkley and hugs the River Wharfe all the way to Grassington. That ensures that any walking is a gentle affair and means that you are likely to meet many folk out on about of a beautiful day around such honeypots as Bolton Priory or Burnsall. After Burnsall, you find you yourself in countryside like this and Loup Scar comes before the Hebden Suspension Bridge. The long distance footpath doe go over that bridge to the other bank of the river with a footpath connection to Hebden for those wanting that idyllic village.
