Stjórnarráð Íslands, Reykjavík, Iceland

It took me a while to work out what this building was, and it is one of the Icelandic Government Offices, Stjórnarráð Íslands. In that light, it may not surprise us with its anonymity. The humility of the architecture is a lesson to us too when you compare it to the grand edifices found in other countries. After all, it is not office that a concert hall and the headquarters of a national opera company overlook government buildings.
