Upper Lake from Looscaunagh Hill, Killarney, Co. Kerry, Éire

This is vista similar to what you'd see from Ladies View, a little further downhill from here. There are advantages to staying away from the busier stopping point though others did have the same idea while we were gazing north-east from Looscaunagh Hill. No one got in anyone's way though, as the photo proves. That's Purple Mountain at the left with the Upper Lake beneath it. The rocky Cromaglan and Torc Mountain appear at the right. Look carefully, and you might see a hill looking like the head of a pig. That's Torc and is it why it was called after a wild boar? Not everything is named in these parts but the names that are given can be more descriptive than you'd expect.
