Folinashrone, Gougane Barra, Ballingeary, Co. Cork, Éire

Moving inland from the coast, we reach Gougane Barra, where we will be staying for the next few photos. It is home to the source of the River Lee which approaches the sea by the city of Cork. The river's first lake is also hereabouts and occupies the foreground of the above photo capturing a view to the north-east over its waters. What also is conspicuous in the photo is a sample of the hill country that makes the spot a really special one.
