Looking back towards Preikestolhytta, Vatne, Rogaland, Norway

This sunny evening was all the more relished after more than 24 hours of near constant rain. The air might have dried, and the sky brightened, but the vegetation remained wet and gave me a good soaking as I rounded Revsvatnet and that was what I was doing when I captured the above scene on a day with two hikes. The first took me up to Preikestolen in damp murk, but this walk was the reward for any forbearance. The blue skies did not last, but all was done by then, and I only had to contend with midges in the mugginess while I awaited a bus for my return to Stavanger.
