Braeriach & Am Beanaidh, Gleann Eanaich, Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

For some reason, the image that I had in my head of Gleann Eanaich was of a lengthy gouge into the Cairngorms plateau. Aside from the corrie walls around Loch Eanaich, the reality is that it is a lot more open than that, which ensures plenty of sightings of Braeriach as I had on my return hike to Aviemore. Quite how the map put that initial image into my mind, I cannot say, only for our faculties to play tricks on us at times. You never can fault the views though.
