Creag Loisgte & Creag nan Gall, Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

Here is a scene from my August 2009 stay in the Cairngorms. This comes from a day that started out damp that I made use of the Strathspey Railway for a dry excursion while conditions dried out with the stopping of the rain. After that, an improvement in the weather lured me as far as Strath Nethy before I retraced my steps as far as Ryvoan Pass before swing onwards and upwards to find my way on the forestry track that you see in the picture. This is view back along where I had been gone; looking the other way took my eyes across towards Cairn Gorm and the hills that surround it. Ahead of me was a journey to Aviemore train station where I commenced my southbound overnight return journey courtesy of the Caledonian Sleeper. Before that there was a lot of quiet stilly strolling with the Old Logging Way, a multi-use trail, conveying me for a great portion of that distance.
