Peering into Glen Feshie, Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

In reality, I was on the fringes of Glen Feshie when I was traipsing my way along here. Going further south would take you deeper into an unpeopled place. Speaking about deep incursions, the day before has seen me venturing as far as Loch Eanaich, nearly as far south as Kingussie, my starting point for a hike to Aviemore during which I captured the above scene. It also means that Gleann Eanaich is found at the other side of that wall of hills in the photo. Sometimes, it is all too easy to hike without wider geographic awareness. Joining the dots can surprise you by showing how everything fits together.
