The lower lochs and lochans of Craigellachie National Nature Reserve do work better for photography when there is sunshine coming from the east. That naturally means a morning session, and the one that gifted me these scenes left me with a quandary as to which to include here. All looked well in their own. After some deliberation, I chose the one that you see here, captured in advance of a long day of hiking from Nethy Bridge back to Aviemore, the starting point reached by bus from the finishing, such are the ironies of life.
