In many ways, this is a simple evening photo of a simple lochan, one that I passed my return to Aviemore from Gleann Eanaich. Though the sun was out in strength, the day had been one with watery encounters, especially the river crossings that made for wet feet and boots. Socks could not stay dry either because wet boots would see to that, even if I took them off to make the crossings. Not long afterwards, I acquired a pair of Crocs for such eventualities in the future, so long as I have them with me, of course. In the event, having wet feet took nothing from the day itself; often, there is just too much satisfaction in Scottish Highland wandering.
