Meall a' Bhuachaille & Loch Morlich, Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

Here is another sighting of the hill environs of Loch Morlich, one without the cost of a previous encounter earlier in the same year. Meall a' Bhuachaille is a hill that I ascended on a day when conditions deteriorated to give me a solid soaking instead of the views that I might have desired. Thus, that traverse could be worth repeating in better weather. The above scene comes from New Year's Day 2024 when I was astonished at the hubbub of traffic on the road between Glenmore and Aviemore; it sounded more like a motorway that the modest road that it is, not that such an intrusion made itself so plain on my return to Aviemore by means of the Old Logging Way.
