River Spey, Aviemore, Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

It was a sighting from a double-decker bus as it brought me back from Glen More that made my aware of this view along the River Spey. The image itself comes from the last morning of an elongated weekend around the Cairngorms. In truth, it should have been longer if I had expected the splendid spell of weather to continue for the rest of the week. For other reasons, I needed to make my way home, making space for two returns to this part of Scotland after the May 2023 sojourn. It is somewhere that is near enough inexhaustible if you spend sufficient time with maps and guidebooks.
