Here is another evening view of Rothiemurchus from that first day in the area from April 2009. The place was quiet so I could wander in peace, taking in the stilly ambience. Since then, I have passed this way a few times, not always as tuned into my surroundings as on that initial occasion. Some of those have happened on visits in the last few years, giving me cause me to chide myself for it. When all are elsewhere and the weather allows, this is somewhere to linger on any of those longer evenings.
