Ryvoan Pass, Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

While the photo may make it look otherwise, Ryvoan Pass was a busy place as I passed there on a Mayday Bank Holiday hike from Nethy Bridge to Aviemore in 2023. This then was a quieter interlude or a more carefully chosen moment. The sunshine drew the rest as much as it did me, so I cannot complain. There were plenty of quieter places to salve any sense of intrusion from others, which means that everyone got the space that they needed.
