One of the Uath Lochans, Inshriach Forest, Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

My first incursion into Inshriach Forest came after Strom Gerrit in 2023. The windthrow (and maybe windsnap) was such that keeping to the line of the Speyside Way mean pass through a formidable obstacle course with numerous trees knocked down at a time. By the following May when this scene was captured, the fallen timber had been cut up and clears to leave the trails completely open. Thus, I could enjoy views like this with lochans in the foreground and hills on the other side of Glen Feshie in the background.
