The view down Glen Sligachan from the roadside near Sligachan Hotel is one of the iconic views of Scottish scenery. The electricity lines that once made photography a tricky pursuit from there have gone by now, but that's no reason to be lazy and wander further along to get a closer look. This photo was made while still a little way off from the hotel and the end of an enjoyable and varied hike from Elgol.
Of the hills, Marsco brings up the middle with Cuillin outliers like Garbh-bheinn and the main Cuillin range surrounding it. The land was becoming more level about me on the approach to my final destination, but I couldn't mind that after that in which I had immersed myself. As it was to happen, the skies became ever more milky, forcing a break in the photographic activity and putting me in the way of temptation by the idea of dining in the hotel. There may have been a wait for my bus back to Broadford where I was staying, but it wasn't enough for offering patronage to the eatery and I dined elsewhere that evening.
