Looking over Glenfinnan towards Ben Nevis, Lochaber, Scotland

It is amazing where you can catch glimpses of Ben Nevis. Here is one from near Glenfinnan on a sultry evening during July 2013; the day before had revealed another from the top of Beinn a' Chrùlaiste, an ascent that took its toll on me because of the heat. It reminds of places that I fancy going again, like following the Great Glen Way back to Fort William from Loch Lochy. While the long stretch of the Caledonian Canal around by Meall Bhanbhaidh might be better shortened by cycling, my concern at losing photo opportunities limits the appeal of such a mode of transport.
