Doune Hill from Tom Beithe, Rowardennan, Stirling District, Scotland

North of the hostel there is a beach from which there are brilliant views. Above is the westward view across Loch Lomond towards Inverbeg and the hills behind it. It may look it here but the A82 is tracing its way along the shoreline and, while road traffic could be seen, its attendant noise thankfully didn’t travel through the air, so peace was ensured. That groove in the hills is Glen Douglas and there is minor road threading its way through it to the shores of Loch Long south of Arrochar.
