Garbh Bheinn & Meall Dearg, Kinlochleven, Lochaber, Scotland

Since Loch Linnhe is lined with collections of rocky hills, you also have those on the other side to savour as you plod along the West Highland Way. This is a late afternoon view from an occasion when I plied the trail south from Fort William to Kinlochleven. As the day's hike was approaching its end, it was accompanied by vistas like this one, showing Garbh Bheinn partially hidden behind a tree, with Meall Dearg among the hills lining the corrie to its right. All this forms part of the rocky wall separating the loch from Glen Coe. There is much majesty in the countryside around these parts.
