Meall an t-Suidhe, Glen Nevis, Lochaber, Scotland

From Glen Nevis, it is much easier to see Meall an t-Suidhe than Ben Nevis and this is close-up view of the former from June 2024. This was a reprise after my first midwinter visit to the Scottish Highlands in January 2006, which allowed me to see why so many of Colin Prior’s photos feature Scottish hills with their flanks coloured brown. More visits were to follow outside the summer season, so I now know well that green-sided Scottish hills can be a seasonal feature. Nevertheless, a summer sighting brings its share of pleasure too, as you see from this photo.
