Cathedral of Santa Maria, Palma, Mallorca, Spain

On arrival at Palma’s airport, I saw no sign of the shuttle that I believed I had booked, so I caught a taxi to my hotel instead. Still wondering how much it would cost, I was comforted by the sight of Palma’s massive cathedral, and it strongly floodlit. A post-arrival stroll that night gained me a closer look and I made sure that I spent more time around it next morning. There was another opportunity on the last day of my stay on the island when the combination of an evening flight and feeling poorly meant that I loitered around the cathedral quarter, often asked to take photos for others that I willingly obliged.
