Macizo de Anaga, Igueste de San Andrés, Tenerife, Spain

The hills in the north-east of Tenerife are not all that high, but that is not to downplay the effort required to ascend them for they are steep-sided affairs. This also means that walking through them is going to provide a thorough workout for one's legs and using walking poles will help ease the pressure on any joints as well. To some, the scene may suggest otherwise but this was made on New Year's Day 2019. Thinking about it now, I wonder if these hills would look less verdant during the summer months when it is often too hot for the kind of exertion I was undertaking when I came across this scene.
