The way down Barranco de Antequera had been speedy enough to perhaps instil in me a small piece of false security. That was soon to dispelled by the sight of a beach, Playa de Antequera, with water blocking the obvious way around the headland. There may have been a path across the steep slope, but it took some finding and needed courage (or foolishness, if you take a different view) to use it. This scene came before all of that, and there were even boat trips possible if you really wished to avoid any difficulties. In the event, I cajoled myself past them to get closer to Igueste de San Andrés.
